If you want to get away with grandparents, parents and children together, you know the problem: getting everyone together without half the group ending up in a different house or wing. We built De Zilveren Maan precisely for that. Under one roof, up to 22 people sleep in 9 themed rooms, spread across 8 bathrooms, so the teenagers have their own corner and grandma and grandpa sleep close to a bathroom on the ground floor. Two rooms are wheelchair-friendly, so even if someone in your party has difficulty walking, no one has to stay at home.
The heart of the house is the large living area with long dining tables and an open kitchen with a cooking island. There you sit at the table with the whole family, while in the open kitchen something is being cooked on the kamado or a pizza comes out of the pizza oven. Meanwhile, the children are rarely far away: the play loft, the billiards, the darts and the ping-pong table keep them busy indoors, and as soon as the weather allows, they head out to the volleyball court or the campfire spot in the garden.
Children want to get in the water, whatever the season. That's why our indoor pool is heated all year round: even on a rainy autumn weekend, the grandchildren can swim until they're worn out while everyone else stays cosy indoors. When the weather is lovely, everyone moves out to the heated outdoor pool in the garden. Parents and grandparents find their peace in the sauna and wellness area, just a stone's throw from where the children are playing.
Our grounds are fully enclosed and ecologically landscaped, peacefully situated in the Limburg countryside close to Hoge Kempen National Park and the Duinengordel. That means the little ones can play safely in the garden while you watch from the terrace. Cycling, walking or heading into the woods with the whole family: it starts literally at the front door. And in the evening, everyone comes together again at that long table, from the very youngest to the oldest, exactly what a family weekend is meant for.
