The house is just a stone's throw from Hoge Kempen National Park, the Duinengordel and the historic town of Maaseik. Walking, cycling, mountain biking or simply enjoying nature: it all starts at the front door.
De Zilveren Maan sits in Neeroeteren, right in the heart of the countryside. The Hoge Kempen National Park, the Duinengordel and the Mechelse Heide are all close by. You can step straight onto one of the many signposted walking routes or cycle junctions. Mountain biking and even horse driving are possible nearby too.
Just a few minutes' drive away lies Maaseik, with its charming market square, shops and pavement cafés. On the Markt stands the statue of the brothers Jan and Hubert van Eyck, the famous Flemish painters with roots in Maaseik. Visit the Apotheekmuseum, Belgium's oldest pharmacy museum, or the Archaeological Museum. Fancy a delicious meal out? In Maaseik and Neeroeteren you will find plenty of lovely places to eat.
If you love adventure, head to Klimpark Warredal in Bergerven. And after a day outdoors, you come home to your own swimming pool and sauna.
